During my research on Windows I came across a great wiki on the Wikipedia web site.It goes through the history of Microsoft Windows . Windows was announced in 1983 , nearly 30 years ago , and is still the worlds standard computer operating system in the world . The Windows family consists of many operating systems starting with Windows 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, nt 3.1, 95, NT 4.0, 98, 2000, ME, XP, Server 2003, Vista, and last but not least windows 7. Many Years have made the company what it is and what it has accomplished today. Not all of these operating systems were perfect, as a matter of fact lots of them were complete dump, the latest being Windows Vista. The evolution of Windows has certainly been interesting to experience real time and looking back retrospectively it is absolutely amazing how far computers have come in terms of functionality and power over the past 20+ years that I've been using them.
